Your dashboard and courses
See your courses and students. Set an optional due time.
A teacher sees their assigned courses and students; an admin sees the whole institution. At the top: Learner activity and Add students.
On the dashboard
- Your students: a teacher sees how many wait, listed first, then each status, with its date when there is one: Waiting for you (submitted work no teacher opened since submission, or a shared draft), In progress, Not started or Submitted. A student removed from every course shows none. Never a grade or ranking.
- From 11 students: Find a student, and for a teacher Needs review (students waiting for you).
- Open a student for a row per course: Submitted, with its last save, Not submitted yet, or Removed from course. Open work opens it, when you may.
- With a Feedback rounds course, Drafts waiting for feedback shows above your students when a draft waits; when none waits, one line under Your students says so.
- Your courses: each with its due time, and whether students can ask for feedback. Manage courses, or Courses in the menu, opens the Courses page.
- On Courses, select Edit on a course. Under Due date, choose a day and a time, then Set due date. Remove due date has an Undo. Students see the due time.
- Under 3 days left: Due soon; past the time: Past due.
- In Edit, How students work in this course: Submit only or Feedback rounds, saved at once; Submit only asks first.
- Learner activity: how far each course’s students got, never what they wrote.
- Assistance, under your courses: Open Assistance, or continue your last plan on this device.
Add students
Select Add students: One student, or From a file (a CSV with name and email columns, up to 100 students).
- Choose at least one course.
- Select Add student, or Add 12 students for a file of 12. It makes up to 12 new logins.
- Check the list first (a file) adds nobody: its result says Preview.
- A new login’s temporary password shows only once. Give it privately.
