Read a submission
Open a learner, then their submitted work. Mark it your way.
You own the mark. Edudojo does not give one.
- On the dashboard, open a student under Your students.
- In the row for the course, select Open work.
What you see
- At the top: the student’s name with the course, Submitted with the date and time, and, on a wide screen, Student says, which is the student’s own answer to How I worked, in the third person. It shows once. On a phone it is in About this record.
- The final draft on the left. When the student saved more than one version, a timeline under it shows them; with one version there is no timeline. The tabs Draft and Conversation above it show the coach chat in the same place. Each run of messages starts with Student or Coach.
- The Assessment on the right (see Write an assessment). On a phone or a narrow window, Draft, Conversation and Assessment are three tabs. On a phone, About this record is the i button beside Back.
- Select About this record to read more: that the page is read-only, and if the student started again, Started again on the date, with the Reason the student chose. Words the student typed under Other are shown in quotation marks.
The page is read-only. You cannot edit the draft or send a message. You can open work only for courses you are assigned to.
A line at the top of the page says it does not measure how deeply the student was thinking or whether the work was independently authored. On a phone the line is in About this record. Missing activity is not evidence of missing thought. About this record adds that the page shows saved drafts and the coach chat, not every keystroke.
Edudojo records that you opened the work. It does not record the text.
