Feedback rounds: read shared drafts and send feedback

Students share a saved draft before they submit; you write feedback.

You own the mark. A shared draft is not a submission, and Edudojo gives no mark on it.

Set the course type

On Courses, select Edit on a course. The panel has How students work in this course. Choose Submit only: you see work only after the student submits. Edudojo asks first. Or choose Feedback rounds: students can share a saved draft before they submit. An institution admin needs a two-step code from the last 15 minutes; Edudojo asks for a new one.

Read a shared draft

  • Drafts waiting for feedback is its own list on the dashboard. It shows the student, course, version, when it was shared, and New or Opened. Feedback draft saved shows if you saved a draft of your feedback.
  • Select Read draft. The header chip says Shared draft, not submitted; the line beside it gives the version and time.
  • You see one frozen version, read-only, and any note from the student. The student may have kept writing since.

Send feedback

  1. Write in the box Your feedback. Select Save for later to keep it. The student does not see a saved draft.
  2. Select Send to student. It is disabled while the box is empty.
  3. To change it later, select Edit and send again. The student then sees your feedback as Updated.

Feedback is plain text. It is never put into the student’s draft. If another teacher saved feedback on the same draft first, you read a message and reload to see it.

When a draft closes

  • The student withdraws it, submits, or starts a new draft (Clean Slate).
  • You confirm the change of the course to Submit only. Its waiting drafts close; shared drafts stay hidden until each student submits.
  • The student is removed from the course.

After the final submission, the submitted work has a Feedback rounds tab. It lists each round, its state in words, and the feedback you sent. A round the student withdrew shows Withdrawn by the student, without the student’s note.
