AI and your writing
The coach sends your words to an AI model, after removing some personal data.
To reply, the coach sends your draft (with up to 4 pictures, if the model can view them), your recent coach chat, and your course and assignment names to an outside provider’s AI model. Polish and Review send your draft, those names and their instruction, not your chat. Picture help sends your picture and note; for a clear copy, also the confirmed meaning, the copy’s description and your requested change. The coach replies in the language you chose, English or हिन्दी.
What Edudojo removes first
Edudojo replaces the names of people on your course roster with a mark such as [name 1]. For a student, that means your name and your teachers’ names. It also removes some shapes of personal data: email addresses, phone numbers, ID numbers, IBAN bank numbers, UPI IDs and card numbers, and passwords or keys.
It can miss some
This removal is best effort: it follows patterns, not meaning. It can miss a name it does not know, the name of someone outside your course, a classmate’s name, a value split over two messages, or a value written in words. Voice recordings and pictures are sent as they are, so names in them are not removed. Keep private details out of your writing, recordings and pictures.
AI providers process text on their own systems; Edudojo cannot promise where.
Teachers
When a teacher uses AI in Assistance, the model receives the prompt and the saved conversation: for a syllabus, the course brief, earlier turns and the syllabus so far (a pasted syllabus only for the weekly plan); for Learn AI, recent turns. The roster and journal are not sent.
The help assistant
On the help pages, a signed-in student, teacher or admin from an institution can ask a question. Edudojo sends the question and the help text to an AI model, told to answer from the help text only. It can be wrong, so check the linked topic. Edudojo does not save the question or the answer.
