What Edudojo keeps
Your process record, account details and text-free activity data.
Your process record
- Your saved drafts and their versions.
- Your coach chat.
- Your How I worked answers, and whether and when you submitted.
- If you started again: when, and the reasons you gave.
- Pictures you add with Add. Edudojo resizes them and removes location details before upload.
- Assessments your teacher writes on your submitted work, every version.
Pastes
The editor toolbar shows a note: Pastes may be recorded. Select it to learn more. While paste recording is on, Edudojo notes when and where you paste. For a longer paste it also records a code of the text. In a class that was told in advance, it may keep a copy of the pasted text, even if you delete it later. It tries to remove passwords and keys from the copy first. Typing, dictation and coach suggestions are not pastes. No teacher screen in Edudojo shows the copy; it stays in your record.
Account and activity
Edudojo keeps your name, email, institution and language. It also keeps activity data, such as counts, times and codes. This data does not hold your writing.
For each writing session, Edudojo keeps the names it replaced before your text went to the AI model, and the names the coach wrote back in its replies. Later coach turns in that session keep replacing them, also after a teacher leaves your course or a name changes. Only the AI part of Edudojo reads this list. It is deleted when your record is deleted, and an export of your record does not include it.
AI models
OpenRouter hosts keep no copy of your text; voice may reach Groq. For listed institutions, Claude runs on Anthropic: it keeps requests up to 30 days (flagged: 2 years) and does not train on them.
On your device
Your browser keeps a copy of your draft while you write. A copy on your device is not a confirmed save. Wait for Saved.
Records stay until your institution asks Edudojo to delete them.
