AI costs (company operators)

AI call costs by institute, subject and session. Operators only.

AI costs shows what each AI call on OpenRouter cost, and its tokens.

The tiles

  • Cost: what OpenRouter charged in your range, then with the 5.5% credit fee. At least, with a count, means some calls have no confirmed cost.
  • Requests: calls sent to the model, and their sessions.
  • Per student session: the cost of calls in student sessions per session, without search and help calls.
  • Tokens in / out: tokens sent and written back, plus thinking.
  • Cache hit rate: the part of the input from the cache, and what it saved or paid writes added.
  • Problems: failed, cut off or refused calls. Failed includes replies the app or the class or syllabus page rejected; a rejected or dropped coach reply, or another dropped reply, can read as done.

Choose what you see

Pick a range; Hour needs 8 days or less. Action and Outcome narrow the list; a phone puts them under Filters.

Open one level at a time

Choose a tab to group the table. Select a row to narrow to it; select a filter above to remove it.

Where the numbers come from

Each cost comes from OpenRouter: the reply or its record. The line under the filters says when costs were last checked. Unconfirmed means no confirmed cost yet. The page looks up missing costs once when it opens. Then the line counts calls, in all dates, still without an OpenRouter record; Update costs looks them up. For ten minutes it looks again; then Check billing on Usage history (AI model settings) looks it up. Usage history adds only confirmed bills, for this month in your time zone.

What it shows

The page shows numbers, IDs, and the names of institutes, subjects and models, never a prompt, a reply or a draft. Student and session IDs show only where company reads are allowed. Other student calls count in the totals, are not listed per student, and appear 20 to 80 minutes late, only to the hour.
