Assistance: Syllabus, Plan a class, Learn AI

Three tools to prepare to teach. They do not grade.

Assistance helps you prepare; your mark stays yours.

  • Syllabus: plan any course week by week. Paste your syllabus in Course brief to keep its units. Tick what you finished; leftover topics move forward.
  • Plan a class: choose a topic, then plan what you explain and what students practise. Download gives PDF, Word or a print view.
  • Learn AI: practise asking AI, and when to trust or ignore it.

A suggestion changes a plan only when you keep it.

Steps and the right-hand column

The i button after the tabs explains the tool. The current step shows Step 1 of 3. A done step folds to one line with Edit. A grey button says why; a small i button shows more.

With a plan, Course brief, Sources and Earlier conversation sit on the right (below on phones). To change a class plan, use Ask for help with this class plan.

A teaching plan holds one syllabus and all its class plans. The page title is the teaching plan name, on Syllabus and Plan a class: type over it. Learn AI has no plan: its title is Assistance, with the save state, Download a copy, and Retry when needed. Manage works on the whole teaching plan: open another, Archive or Delete it. Archive takes it off the list; it cannot be opened again here yet. With none open, Learn AI starts an empty plan. Download a copy saves only the open tab. Delete asks first and cannot be undone.

Saving and what AI receives

Wait for Saved to your account before leaving. Without account saving, work stays on this computer.

AI receives your prompt, earlier messages and plan details; plan builds add school and country. Roster and journal are not sent. A class plan search sends only your topic, class, board, course, concepts, year and country, minus recognized roster names, emails, links and phone numbers. Weekly plan searches never send a pasted syllabus. Keep student names out of topics, notes and pastes.
