Two-step sign-in (administrators)
Administrators enter an authenticator code at every sign-in.
An administrator account opens only with two steps: the password, then a 6-digit code from an authenticator app. Until then, Edudojo shows only the two-step page and the help pages. Teachers and students sign in with the password only. A teacher who holds the administrator grant sets up an authenticator on the profile page, and types a code only when administrator work asks for one.
Set it up
- Sign in with your email and password. Edudojo opens Set up two-step sign-in.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app. If you cannot scan, type the key in the app. Each time the page opens, it shows a new QR code: use the newest one.
- Type the 6-digit code from the app, then select Turn on two-step sign-in.
- Select Add a second authenticator and do the same on another device. Then a lost phone does not lock you out.
A teacher with the administrator grant starts from the profile page: select Manage two-step sign-in, then follow the same steps. Teaching never needs a code. Until you enter a code, Dashboard and Courses list only your own courses.
Turning it on, or adding an authenticator, signs you out on your other devices. Staff see this page and the staff sign-in page in English.
Every sign-in
After your password, type the code the app shows now. If a code does not work, check that the time on your phone is set automatically, wait for a new code, then try again.
Manage your authenticators
On your profile, select Manage two-step sign-in. You can add an authenticator, rename one, or remove one while you have two or more. If you remove the one you signed in with, Edudojo asks for another authenticator’s code.
If you lose every authenticator
Ask Edudojo staff. They check that you asked, through a contact they already have, and never ask for your password or a code. Then Edudojo removes your authenticators; your password stays. Set it up again as above.
